Hi, I’m Debbie O’Connor and this is Mum’s the Boss.

I’m a Virtual Assistant and Business Coach, and I’ve been helping mums to set up and run small businesses since 2013.

Mum’s the Boss is about the whole experience of running a small business from home while raising a family, and doing all the other things that mums have to do.

I’ve been working from home since having my first child back in 2003, and I have lots of experience to share about the realities of running a business single handed,  but also the constant juggle that mums perform every day, and the nagging guilt that somehow we are not doing enough.

I know when I was in the thick of it, I used to call my mum regularly for parenting, adulting and housekeeping tips, but she would have been no use at all for the digital marketing and small business tips I also needed – I had to figure all that out for myself.
